Aya amwabo aya:
Reuben Kibegwa For Kitutu Masaba 2013
Dr. Job Mogire For Bomachoge Chache Constituency
Larger Gusii Candidate Profiles: Mr. Job Nyasimi Momanyi [ Nyamira County Governor ]
On behalf of my family, the youth and the old, the widows and widowers and the orphans who embrace for change, let me express my gratitude for the privilege of introducing and re -introducing myself to you. I am Joshua Onserio Ongoro; the third born of eight siblings. I am married to my wife Euniah Moraa Ongoro and we are blessed with four children.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve Ababasi
I must humbled and must admit and thank Omobasi at large, for it is a honor to be given this opportunity to compete in this parliamentary race. This year’s election, in particular is important because, let us face it, I grew up in a humble background where nothing good was ever expected. For me to stand boldly and state I am aspiring for a parliamentary seat is something to reckon with.
"We must protect all our people. Children should be brought up knowing that they will be fed, clothed and that they will be safe from harm" Joshua Ongoro, MP, Bobasi, 2013.

My father passed on unexpectedly following the cruel hand of motor vehicle accident leaving us at a tender age under the care of a single mother. Through the grace of God, she continually prayed to see us grow and go to school. Leave alone what we were to eat or wear.
The community and my mother, made me who I am today. I appreciate.
Despite the difficulties we underwent in our early years, the opportunity has come that I look forward to raise my eyebrows and say ‘yes, I want to pay back to the community.’ I believe beside my mother, the community played a big role in making me what I am today. That is why I consider this year’s election, special because even those who come from nowhere, they can be made to get somewhere.
Though my father is long gone, he had bigger dreams for his family that he instilled in my mother. Through hard work, self-sacrifice and a constant prayer to our God, the dream was fulfilled to the best of her ability. I am sharing knowing that my story is part of the larger Omobasi family.
We must empower our people and ensure equality and hope to every Omobasi
My pride as I declare my candidature is based on a simple premise that ‘there are possibilities where we think they aren’t.’ In view of this, my vision thus reads in parts; empowerment, equality and giving hope to the hopeless. I believe am stakeholder of Bobasi just as all of us are.
It is unfortunate and uncalled for when one has to look for a God father to get him or her where he/she would like to be. The lack of discipline and decency coupled with integrity has hurt those of us from a no-ground background.
Thus, because one came from a genealogy of relatives or parents who were not politically influential the future is volatile. This should be a thing of the past and embrace democratic ordeals of equality. Glancing from a distance or from within, there is an immense threat of poverty, illiteracy among others and infrastructures decay of clans that need serious mending.
In fact, every time I reflect on the past, the future remains blink trotting at the pace we are going. My reaction to this is to mobilize resources, strengths and bear sacrifices to enable growth per capita. ‘Together we stand, divided we fall.’ That is the true genius of what I would want for Omobasi, a faith in the simple dreams of its people, and the insistence on small miracles.
I will ensure security for our people. Children should be brought up knowing that they will be fed, clothed and that they will be safe from harm
That we can tuck in our children at night and know they are fed, clothed, and safe from harm the following day. That we can participate in the political process without fear of retribution, and that our votes will he counted? At least, most of the time. My take in this will be to oversee that security structure is measured and reinforced to protect all.
In this election, we are called to reaffirm our values and commitments, to hold them against a hard reality and see how we are measuring up, to the legacy of our forbearers, and the promise of future generations. And fellow men and women, I say to you: we have more work to do and I am ready to work with you.
There is more to do for the future of our children, for the unemployed and more to do for the total state of decay of our schools. I am that person who will do and go beyond the call of duty. This I promise.
I have had the privilege to travel from the Southern tip of Bobasi to the Northern end and met all kinds of people crying for help!
Don’t get me wrong. The people I meet in villages and market places, they don't expect government to solve all their problems. They know they have to work hard to get ahead and they want to. In this regard, I will work with colleagues to find means and ways of working on agricultural produce to help both small and large scale farmers compensated accordingly.
Both large and small scale farmers must be compesated fairly.
I am a benefactor of a mother who worked hard on the farm to sustain us. I will do my best to respond to the need of all. Ababasi don't expect government to solve all their problems. But they sense, deep in their bones, that with just a change in priorities, we can make sure that every child in Bobasi and Gusii at large has a decent shot at life, and that the doors of opportunity remain open to all.
I know deep down my heart we can do better and have our children reflect on the Kenyan map and the globe as excellent performers. Over time, we have been told – ‘the future of a nation is her youth.’ The youth will be my priority during my tenure in office (M.P). I believe they deserve better and a window of opportunity must be open for them to make better choices. [ Ensinyo mana gokwanwa, nabamura etabwati ].
My Appeal: The fundamental right of an individual is the right to vote. Come one come all and vote for Joshua O Onserio on March 4th. 2013. I count on you. May God bless you All.
